About

A small pine stool, perfect as a low seat or a side table. Shown with oil paint, which helps to emphasize the form, while also showing grain and texture. Finished with a beeswax based

An oil paint finish is VOC free, luminous, and relatively durable. I put on two coats, each with 1-2 weeks of drying time.  It won't handle an ice cold beer as well as polyurethane, but it develops a patina, and should last decades.

Care

End-grain cutting boards are made from natural materials. They need just a bit of care and attention to keep in great working condition.

When washing your board, rise both sides and set on a flat surface to dry.

If the board is looking chalky or feeling rough, add some General Term cutting board oil - included with your order - to help refresh the wood. If you run out of the cutting board oil, you can purchase more here (hyperlink?).

Please do not use the cutting board as a trivet, and do not put into the dishwasher - it won’t survive the experience :(
